Top 10 Reasons to Read this Blog

May 28, 20252 min read

Everyone likes these lists.

Well, I don't know everyone so I just made a huge generalization - which I don't generally do.

If you're one of the women who does like these lists - heyyyyy gurrrlll!

Remember David Letterman's Top 10 lists*?

I miss those.

I mean, I don't think about them every day or anything.

(Join me for a walk down the winding path of my attention span, if you will...)

The original title of this post was "Ten Reasons to Be Here".

A bit meh, I admit.

Then I went hunting for an image to use and "Top Ten" came up and before I knew it, I was googling "David Letterman top 10" to see if my memory was accurate.

It was and then this whole post became so much more exciting!

Without further ado....drum roll!

The top 10 reasons for you to keep on reading my blog are:

Number 10: You've spent decades holding it all together and now it's your turn to come undone (in the best way).

Number 9: Midlife isn't a crisis. It's a comeback and I've got the map, the flashlight, and the snacks.

Number 8: Your nervous system deserves better than caffeine and pretending you're fine.

Number 7: Healing doesn't always have to be heavy and you might even snort-laugh along the way.

Number 6: There's more to life than to-do lists, and it's time you wrote your own damn story.

Number 5: You're tired of Instagram-perfect advice from 28-year old life coaches named Skylar**.

Number 4: You want tools, not toxic positivity. Stories, not scripts. Truth, not trends.

Number 3: Midlife magic is real and you're just starting to tap into yours.

Number 2: You've tried wine and online shopping. Now you're ready to try healing.

AND REALLY BIG DRUM ROLL....

The NUMBER 1 REASON for you to keep reading my blog is because your brilliance didn't go anywhere. It just needs a nudge (and maybe a swear word or two) and I am SOOOO here for that.

Alrighty - I do hope you'll stick around.

I'm off to go find a pic to go with this post now.

*Thanks Dave - can I call you Dave? - for the inspiration.

**I apologize right now to anyone named Skylar...though, I doubt anyone named Skylar is reading my blog.
